| Suicide Help If you are thinking of committing suicide please click the links below forcrisis support near you For quite some time now I have been meaning to add a page specifically dedicated to dealing with suicidal thoughts or feelings. My desire to do so arises from my own experience of such thoughts and also from reading of others here who have experienced the terror and helplessness of such feelings. If you are reading and you yourself are, right now, feeling suicidal, please know and take heart that it is by no means unusual for you to be feeling such at this time. And while it's by no means unusual, you don't have to accept them, and know that you don't have to suffer in silence. With this page I hope to bring some comfort, and to let you know that these thoughts are just thoughts, and that they pass. In the meantime I would urge you to talk to someone about them, use the numbers above, talk to a close friend, a close relative, your doctor, secrecy only breeds feelings of shame and isolation. Your doctor will not think you're mad or crazy, they will be understanding and sympathetic, and they'll highlight other resources you may not have considered. Also please take a look at the below links for further advice. And please continue to reach out to people, or myself if you prefer. -
